CATS SEARCHING FOR HOMES

Amir is searching for a home! Amir was found abandoned and sick at the population we feed at the park, from where Krista picked him up on the 28th of September. Stray cat number 8 as he was called was taken to the vet to be treated and almost ended up back on the streets because of his size until Marina stepped in and decided to foster him until he would be ready to find his home in Finland. Now eleven months old Amir is a bit of a shy boy who will need time and understanding from his people in the beginning. Very affectionate he is still, when he gathers the courage and such a sweetheart altogether. Some of his teeth were removed when found and the rest should be kept an eye on as he grows. Amir loves being outside but is not suitable for leash walking, so a home with a catio would be his dream come true. Amir came to Finland and foster care in Kerava neutered, dewormed, vaccinated and tested negative for FIV and FeLV on the 11th of December. Can be adopted to befriend another cat or with another one of our organization's cats.

Emily is searching for a home! Emily was abandoned at a cat colony on a rainy day and in such a horrible state that the volunteers who saw her rushed her to a vet immediately. She spent nearly two weeks there before being healthy enough to move into foster care. Emily is now approximately a year and eight months old, very affectionate but quite a shy girl. She absolutely loves attention but getting her trust takes some time. She came to Finland and foster care in Kerava spayed, dewormed, vaccinated and tested negative for FIV and FeLV on the 4th of April 2023. She was adopted that same month, but was returned to the organization a year later because the cats of the family didn't get along. In the beginning Emily was very upset about this sudden change and spent several weeks hiding under the couch. After re-emerging she has been her own affectionate self and would deserve her own place in this world already and a person with a big heart and a lot of time to give. Can be adopted to befriend another cat or with another one of our organization's cats. Could also be an only cat since she is quite scared of others.

Arwen is searching for a home! Approximately two years old Arwen was abandoned at our feeding spot at the park with her newborn kittens. Stray dogs prowling there took all her kittens except one, who we took in our foster care with her mom on the 9th of April. While in our care the remaining kitten passed away due to what was likely a birth defect, but Arwen stayed to raise the other mothers' kittens and instead of going back to the streets is now searching for a home of her own. She will come to Finland and foster care in Kerava spayed, dewormed, vaccinated and tested negative for FIV and FeLV on the 2nd of July. Can be adopted to befriend another cat or with another one of our organization's cats.

Nefeli is searching for a home as an only cat! Nefeli appeared at a colony our friend feeds in last year's May. Someone had likely abandoned her there on purpose since she was already spayed and friendly towards people from day one. Two months ago Nefeli finally got to foster care after starting to show signs of not coping well outside and trying to get indoors every chance she had. Nefeli has likely been bullied by other cats, so she is not fond of their company and is looking for a home as the only one because of this. Her personality is calm and attention loving. A veterinarian specialized in eyes has concluded that Nefeli has limited vision in her right eye, but it does not bother her in any way. Her teeth have been checked and discovered healthy under anesthesia on the 21st of June. Now approximately three years old Nefeli will come to Finland and foster care in Kerava spayed, dewormed, vaccinated and tested negative for FIV and FeLV on the 2nd of July.

Bruce is searching for a home! Bruce, Robin and Ivy are all part of the same litter whose mom Arya suddenly appeared very pregnant at our feeding spot at the park at the end of March. Krista and Valeria returned there the next day aiming to catch her, but she had already delivered the kittens and there was no way of knowing where. Three weeks later however Arya brought them all to the feeding spot and we got the whole family into foster care. Arya isn't adjusting to being a house cat so she will likely return to the streets, but her kittens are searching for their homes in Finland. Now approximately three months old Bruce is a brave and playful boy. He will come to Finland and straight to his home dewormed, vaccinated and tested negative for FIV and FeLV on the 28th of July. Can be adopted to befriend another cat or with another one of our organization's cats. Has to be neutered by his people at the appropriate age.
